52 Week Fitness Inspiration - Week 1

Welcome to #fit4tarot


Here you'll find weekly guidance to help you achieve your fitness goals for 2014. Whatever they may be, #fit4tarot is a weekly resource as guided by tarot that can help you work through some of the curve balls as they come.

Fitness has always been a challenge for me. I always start out fast and strong, but find myself demotivate even faster and stronger. As with all aspects in life, Tarot is a great way to give indication as to what to expect in the upcoming days, and or provide insight as to how to deal with challenges as they come, even if it isn't exactly on the day as posted.

Check back on a regular basis for updates on my own personal journey and share your experiences.

How this works:

I've decided on using a deck of cards as my working #fit4tarot messaging. I like that there is no Major cards to interpret, and there is no cards in reverse, keeping the read simple and universal.

The weekly spread will incoporate a Court card to express the personality trait most dominant in your behaviour for the week. It will then be proceeded by five minor cards (representing Mon-Fri), reflecting daily challenges/successes you should be aware of to help you on your way to the finish line.

Each week, the cards will be cleared with a perfect shuffle. A weekly intention will be set with a universal appeal for all #fit4tarot #starletes, beginners and superstars alike. A brief interpretation of the cards will be made based on outlook and day-by-day modifiers.

Week 1 - Intention: Make today the day you decided to do things differently.

Page of Cups ~ New Beginnings. What a brilliant way to start. Full of energy and confidence, go into this week with fresh eyes and try something new. Flip your routine upside down, go for the unexpected and you'll be amazed by the results. The PoC tells us to just give in and get 'er done.

Monday: 4 of wands ~ Everything in your personal life is in beautiful balance. Use this stability to your advantage, as the week will progress with a few more challenges.
  Completely eventful day. Was the #ministarlites first day at her new school and I was so full of anxiety and stress, a total 10oS mess. Picked her up after school, not tears, nothing. Everything went fine, and my overreaction was unfounded. So with her completely okay, and my house in order... it was the perfect night to try something new; TRX.

Tuesday:  5 of Swords (edited) ~ Over ambition is not going to make you a winner. Do what you can at the level your at, or you'll be in a world of hurt down the road, keep you from your ultimate goal.
   Woke up completely unable to move. Couldn't even raise my arms to brush my hair properly. Was completely exhausted from not being able to sleep the night before, and just not in the mood for anything. That and it's freezing out there today. My goal was to run 3 miles at a 5.0 on the treadmill. At about 5 minutes in, I realized I would die before making it to the end so I had to accept that for today, 2mi at 4.5 was good enough.

Wednesday: 7 of Cups ~ Today's a good day to set a massive goal that is over and above even your New Years resolution. Ensure these goals are within the realm of who you are, and all things are possible.
    Thank the goddess. With the muscle pain I'm in, there was no way I was getting to the gym. So here is my super goal: I want to be my pre-baby weight by September long weekend. Nine months to put it on. Nine years to keep it on. Nine months to take it off. So mote it be.

Thursday: 6 of Pentacles ~ If there is an offer or opportunity to get help in getting to the finish line. Take it. Maybe a diet program like Weight Watchers, or a virtual community. Maybe you have a Dietician allotment in your benefits. Have you used your 1 free w/o assessment that comes with your membership? Whatever it is, take advantage of it. Don't look at it as charity, look at it as an investment in a better you.

Friday: 10 of Swords ~ Today's a good day to book all those check ups. There's nothing wrong with an annual check up, even if you're last one was a couple of months ago. If nothing else, check your blood pressure… somethings got your panties in a knot. Hopefully it's just the holiday dust settling.
